WINNERS OF TALENT: Thirty-three children and adults participated in the three divisions of the Competition Talents St. Clair County Fair.

Junior Division: first place, Cheyenne Married, 14, of Belleville, contemporary dance, second, Kira Averett, 10, of Mascoutah, singing, third, Paige Eversole, and Kailee Traylor 7, 8, of Belleville , jazz duo.

Senior Division: first, Amanda Floyd, 19, O'Fallon, singer.

The winners in the first place senior and junior divisions will represent St. Clair County in the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs talent contest Jan. 21 in Springfield.

Open division: first, Rachel Christopher, Belleville, song and dance, second, Timothy Anders, of Collinsville, juggler, third, silky tones, Hilda Koluch, Jean Lowry, Nancy Weiser and Clara Nichols, of Swansea, singers.

SENIOR free spins: the Madison County residents 65 and older have several opportunities this week to receive a new Madison County Transit ID or Senior Free Ride Half MCT ID fair. Seniors must bring their current ID card to receive a new one.

* 2-4 pm Tuesday, MCT Alton station

* 3-5 pmThursday, MCT Edwardsville Station

Seniors who are not able to take one of these dates may attend a distribution ID 4 to 6 hours on the first Wednesday of each month at the bus station MCT Edwardsville.

KIDNEY SCREENINGS: The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois is partnering with Memorial Hospital to provide free prevention of kidney and educational programs for local residents through the movable kidney. The mobile kidney Southern Illinois College PSOP, 201 N. Church St. in Belleville, 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. Free screenings include blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index, waist circumference and urine for kidney disease.
